Marble 
While marble is a beautiful addition to any home, this is not highly recommended for use in the kitchen. Marble is more porous than granite, and certain marbles can stain quite readily. Common household liquids such as orange juice, nail polish remover, shampoo, hair dye, and even water can cause serious stains in certain marbles.

These marbles are composed of only one ingredient—calcium carbonate, Which means this marble is free of minerals and discoloring agents that could work from within to stain or alter the stone's color, also forms a barrier against moisture, dirt and is the least absorbing of all other tested marbles.
